Namobuddha is a tiny village consisting of very old temple and Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery,religiously important for Buddhist people.It is one of the holiest pilgrimage Buddhist sites in the world.It is just 43 km east from Kathmandu located at an altitude of 1750 m in Kavre district.It can be reached within 3 and half hours of hike from Dhulikhel(11.8 km).
Namobuddha is the popular Buddhist monastery which carries its own historical importance and belief.It is believed that Buddha sacrificed his body to old hungry Tigress and her cubs to get rid of hunger and make them alive. Since then,it is taken as a holy place for Buddhists.We can access to Namobuddha passing through beautiful Newari villages,along the foothill,riverbanks and astonishing view of Himalayan ranges.
