The wonderful short adventure treks start and complete at the scenic city, Pokhara famed and leading touristic spot of Nepal and probably on this planet, located on the laps of massive Annapurna Mountains range with magnificent Machhapuchare Himal, the famous Fish-Tail peak that reflects on calm Phewa and Begnas Lake.
From beautiful Pokhara city and the valley heading due west to start the walk from the foothills around low-warm sub-tropical climatic farm areas, then heading higher with the climb through many farm villages facing views of cascading waterfalls.
As walk progress steep climb for few hours to reach the large village of Ulleri, and then route leads on pleasant gradual ups within the serene cool forest of tall rhododendron and pine trees all the way at Ghorepani village.
Located on Nepal and Tibet old Trans Himalayan Salt trade route that extends towards beyond the Upper Mustang area, from Ghorepani nice views of Dhaulagiri range of peaks, a moderate size village situated at the base of famous Poon Hill within rhododendron forest surroundings.
Next early morning hike uphill to Poon Hill to capture striking sunrise views over the chain of the Himalayan mountain range with Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Machhapuchare, the Fish Tail peaks includes an array of lesser peaks.
Just stunning to enjoy glamorous scenery from the highest point of the journey at 3,210 m high, after marvelous moment descends to Ghorepani and continues walk taking an alternative route to reach back at scenic Pokhara.
The walk takes you over scenic hills within forest and downhill to reach large Gurung village in Ghandruk, Gurung the main hill tribes of Annapurna Himalaya with last overnight stop on high hills of Annapurna where short walk and drive takes you at Pokhara by its serene Phewa Lakeside.

Short Outline Itinerary:
Day 01: Main arrival in Kathmandu1,320 m approximately via various airlines.
Day 02: In Kathmandu with a sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Day 03: Drive / Fly to Pokhara 860 m approximately and transfer to hotel - 06 hrs journey.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,445 m approx. - 04 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani 2,880 m approx. -06 hrs.
Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m and trek to Tadapani 2,630m approx.-06 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk 1,930 m approx. and transfer to lodge - 04 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to road-head and drive to Pokhara - 04 hrs.
Day 09: Fly or drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Best Seasons for Annapurna Sunrise Panorama and Poon Hill Trekking
Nearly all months of the year, except the wet monsoon rainy season from mid-June to mid-September, the best time in the spring season from March to May when days are fine and clear for views and walks, with longer sunlight hours but cold in the morning and night time above 1,600 m onward.
Late afternoon can get overcast with snow and rain on higher hills sometimes, next to good months from mid-September to December around autumn/fall and pre-winter seasons with clear fine morning and day for excellent views of peaks and pleasant trek.
But days are shorter with sun-light hours due to autumn and pre-winter season can get snowed sometimes on higher areas of Ghorepani-Poon Hill to Tadapani above 2,000 m high.
